About Rudy
Rudy graduated from Nazarene Bible College in June 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Church Music. He was ordained as an Elder in the Sacramento District in 2000. Rudy is proficient in the trumpet, flugelhorn, piccolo trumpet and the Electronic Valve Instrument (EV!). He records, mixes, masters and produces all of his own projects from his home recording studio known as HTM Productions.
Heavenly Trumpet Ministry's recent release of the album Faithful represents the types of faithfulness we encounter in our walk with the Lord. Proverbs says 3:3-6, "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart ... Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
In June 2017, Rudy's wife of 33 years, Fran, passed away from her short term illness. Rudy was nearly destroyed with grief after losing his partner in love, life and ministry. Fran's faithfulness and devotion to her family, ministry and God inspired Rudy. He was always quick to give Fran credit for using her gifts to support HTM.
Rudy realized that even though we are shattered and broken, God is faithful to those faithful to Him, and it is through God's love and steadfast faithfulness that we are mended and put back together. Our outlook may be obscured and fractured, like the cover of Faithful illustrates, but God knows our paths with divine clarity and intention.
Rudy has dedicated Faithful to widows and widowers and the communities that tirelessly support them as they continue their lives without their spouses. It was in the care of a loving support group that Rudy felt compelled to share his ministry and met his second wife, Kim, also a widow, whose husband, Jack, had passed away within the same week as Fran. Kim has opened her heart to Rudy and his calling, and she has created a beautiful space for Heavenly Trumpet Ministries in Lakewood, Ohio. Together, Rudy and Kim share a blended family that includes Lisa, Jim, Danielle, Dave, Erin, Lindsey, and Scott, along with grandsons Drew, Jake and Josh.
